This is a digitally cleaned version of the consent given by John and Mary Owens to marry Henry Aton in Mercer County, Virginia (now Kentucky). If my figures are correct and the dates on the 1810 and 1820 census and Henry's tombstone are correct, Henry would have been around 31 years old. If those dates are correct, this COULD have been Henry's second marriage. I am assuming, since she needed permission to marry, that Febe (Feby or Phoebe) would have been under the age of 18.
